Sausages announce new addition to lineup

VANCOUVER, BC, January 17, 2008. The Sausages announced today that they have recruited a new player for the 2027 season. Known only as George, or Jorge as his Spanish friends affectionately call him, the 1'9", 10 3/4 pound giant has surely got home run power, although his footspeed is questionable. "Yeah, that's one area we are going to work on," said coach Shoe. "As of right now he can't even walk!"
Other players on the Sausages were noticeably nervous, each wondering if they will be replaced by the rookie sensation, knowing that they will be an average of 55 years old by 2027 and "a little long in the tooth".
"I need a few more years so I can earn enough to feed my family," said one player, on condition of anonymity. "It's my family I'm thinking of, man!"
